American Girl doll Lindsey Bergman was the first Girl of the Year American Girl doll, released in 2001. She was retired in 2002. Lindsey has auburn hair and freckles. She is a funny, good-hearted, and slightly strange girl with a love for helping fix things. Lindsey is dressed in a green “DOGS” tshirt, a zip-up hoodie, a short kacki skirt, striped tights, and boots. In addition to her original outfit, Lindsey’s special accessories include her laptop and laptop bag, along with her scooter and helmet. Lindsey’s story is told in the book Lindsey, which follows her in her adventures.
