The American Girl Chrissa Doll for 2009 was Chrissa Maxwell, nicknamed Chrissy. Chrissa lives with her family, but moves to Minnesota to live with her grandmother following the death of her grandfather. Chrissa’s grandmother raises mini-llamas, and Chrissa is very creative and can knit and sew. Chrissa loves to swim and dive, and tries very hard to be friendly. Chrissa has brown hair and light blue eyes, and comes dressed in a pink dress, purple flats, and a bracelet. Chrissa’s other outfits include  her Warm-Up Set, her Swim Team Gear, her Snow Outfit, and her Sundress, all from American Girl. Chrissa’s accessories include her Pet Llama, her Craft Studio, her Party Table, and her Snow Gear. Chrissa is the first American Girl Doll of the Year to have companion dolls, who were from her book: Gwen Thompson and Sonali Matthews.
